This is what it looks like when a car drifts past you at 130mph

Behold the glory that is modern day drifting.

Drifting is fun to watch, mainly because it involves a selection of cars coming within inches of each other, competing to win a race measured by not the place they're in on the grid, but rather how sideways they are, and how much time they spend looking out of their driver / passenger windows to see where they're going. For the most part, we tend to see motor-cross type competitions which are more about precision than speed. But sometimes, you get to witness a few maniacs whipping around a fully fledged racetrack at speed - sideways, which brings us to this incredibly insane video:

See? Absolutely ridiculous. At first, all we see is a blur of some car whipping past photographers who are standing idiotically close to the guard rail to get the shot of it as it comes by. The best part? He's not only completely sideways, but he's also doing a reported 130 miles per hour or more as he enters the corner, taking chunks of grass and a distance marker with him, as you can see. Put it in slow-motion, and we can make out the car to be an obviously modified GT 86, and another daring racer as he follows suit.

Like the video title says - insane.
